Getting started
Finding help from any page
Who can use it. Staff (employee and above). Clients, field crew and suppliers don't see the "?" button, because the Help centre is a staff area.
What it's for
You shouldn't have to hunt for a guide. Most pages in Summit Hub have a small ? button next to the page title that opens the guide written for that page, and every link in the left menu has a short line explaining where it takes you.
How to use it
The ? button
- Look next to the page title, at the top of the page.
- Click the ? to open that page's guide in the Help centre. It opens in the same tab, so the left menu stays where it was.
- Use your browser's Back button to return to the page you were on.
Not every page has one. If you can't see a ?, open Help in the left menu and search the guides.
Descriptions in the left menu
- On a computer, move the mouse over a menu link (or tab to it with the keyboard) and a one-line description appears under its name.
- On a phone, open More. Each link there shows its description underneath.
What to expect
- The ? appears only where a guide exists for that page.
- Guides are the same ones you can browse and search from Help in the left menu.
- Menu descriptions use everyday words, for example "Invoices" rather than the name of the app they come from.
Good to know
- If a page is empty, it now tells you in one sentence what the page is for and shows one button for the obvious next step.
