Your branding on the client experience
Who can use it. Owners set the branding (Settings → Branding). Everyone who owns a company can brand their own space; the result is what your *clients* see — in their project portal and in the emails you send them.
What it's for
Make the client-facing side of the app look like *your* business, not ours. Your logo, your company name, and your accent colour follow through to the portal your clients log into and the emails they receive, so the whole experience feels like it came from you.
How to use it
- Go to Settings → Branding.
- Set your company display name, upload a logo (PNG or JPEG), and pick an accent colour.
- Optionally pick a portal chrome colour — this re-themes the darker background areas of the portal (the nav bar and the page headers) to match your brand. Leave it unset to keep the platform's default dark navy chrome.
- Save. Your clients see the branding the next time they open their portal or receive an email from you.
What it affects
- The client portal (
/my-projects): your logo and company name replace the default mark in the sidebar, and your accent colour re-themes the portal's buttons, highlights and links. - Portal chrome colour: if you set one, it re-themes the nav bar background *and* every page header banner in the portal together, so the darker "chrome" areas match your brand rather than Summit's default navy. This is separate from the accent colour — you can set either, both, or neither.
- Sign-in emails: when a client requests a login link, the email carries your logo, name, and accent colour.
- Quote emails: the quote you email from an estimate leads with your logo and an accent-coloured heading.
Good to know
- Included on every plan. Client branding isn't a premium add-on — Solo, Crew and Company all get it.
- Your staff view is unchanged. Branding only dresses up what clients see — the pipeline, financials, and other staff screens keep the standard look.
- **Emails still come *from* the platform address for now.** The name, logo, and colours in the email body are yours, but the sender address is still ours until per-domain sending is available (a later step). Replies still go to your reply-to address as configured.
- **The sign-in *page* itself isn't branded yet** — only the email and the portal after login. Custom portal web addresses (e.g.
portal.yourcompany.co.nz) are a later step too. - Logos are capped at a reasonable size (PNG/JPEG only). Very large images are rejected on upload.
- Set a company name or a logo (or both). If you leave both blank, the client experience keeps the default look even with branding turned on.
